LUTENSOL TO 8

LUTENSOL TO 8 is a nonionic surfactant, belonging to the group of fatty alcohol ethoxylates. It is an ethoxylated fatty alcohol derived from an isomer-rich, saturated C13 alcohol, which has been reacted with approximately 8 moles of ethylene oxide (EO). The ""8"" in its name indicates this average degree of ethoxylation. Nonionic Surfactant: Its nonionic nature means it does not dissociate into ions in water, making it compatible with a wide range of other surfactants (anionic, cationic, and amphoteric) and less sensitive to water hardness. Hydrophilic-Lipophilic Balance (HLB): With an average of 8 moles of ethylene oxide, LUTENSOL TO 8 has an intermediate HLB value (typically in the range of 12-14). This makes it suitable as an emulsifier (O/W) and a good wetting agent. Wetting Agent: It significantly reduces the surface tension of water, allowing liquids to spread more easily and penetrate surfaces more effectively.
