Firemist® Velvet Pearl EH 921 is an effect pigment for decorative applications. Applied in decorative paints, it provides the unique character of patinated surfaces. In combination with transparent absorption pigments it can be used in all shade areas for subtle sparkling, matte finishes to generate visual texture. Especially in interior design, the soft and cozy effect of Firemist® Velvet pigments are of high value for coatings for walls, wall paper, concrete or wood. This product is composed of glass flakes coated with titanium dioxide (rutile) Firemist® Velvet Pearl EH 921 is used in the following applications: interior decorative coatings, general industrial, powder coating and wood. Firemist® Velvet Pearl EH 921 is recommended for use in transparent glazes for interior applications. Depending on the desired effect typical concentrations are 3 – 15 % in wet paint. Best results so far were achieved with 8 – 10 % concentrations.
