Dr. Emma Saunders
General Manager, Genesis Biosciences
Dr. Emma Saunders is the General Manager of Genesis Biosciences, bringing over 20 years of expertise in the Biosciences sector. Since joining Genesis Biosciences in 2008, she has played a pivotal role in leading the company’s Technical Department and driving key operational and product development initiatives. As General Manager, she continues to provide strategic and technical leadership, guiding the company’s growth and innovation.
Dr. Saunders has an extensive scientific background, having managed teams in the development, validation, and commercialisation of medical devices, agricultural crop protection products, and microbial and anti-microbial technology. Her experience spans both SMEs and global corporations, where she has successfully implemented lean product development strategies and led major NPD and regulatory projects. She utilises her expertise in product formulation, efficacy testing, experimental design and regulatory compliance help to drive Genesis Biosciences innovated technical and commercial initatives forward.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Genetics from Queen Mary, University of London, and a PhD in Biochemistry from St. Bartholomew’s and The Royal London School of Medicine, University of London. Under her leadership, Genesis Biosciences continues to thrive as a leader in the biotechnology field, known for its innovative disruptive solutions and commitment to scientific excellence.
Marina Pellegrino
Sales & Product Manager, IMCD Home Care and I&I
Marina Pellegrino graduated in Biological Science and has experience in both academia and industry (THOR Specialties) in microbiology. In 2015, she joined ROELMI HPC as a Product Manager, focusing on Cosmetic Formula Protection. From 2015 to 2020, she was also an active member of the EFfCI Preservative Working Group.
In 2021, Marina joined IMCD Italy as a Product and Sales Manager in our Home Care and I&I Business Group. In July 2023, she was appointed International Product Manager, specialising in microbial solutions.
